Meet and greet

Also: M&G, munch (kink-scene equivalent)

A low-pressure social meetup where LifeStyle or non-monogamy people get to know each other in a public or social setting, with no expectation of play — the standard, recommended first step for newcomers.

A meet and greet (often abbreviated M&G) is a casual social gathering — at a bar, restaurant, or rented space — where people in the LifeStyle or wider non-monogamy community meet and talk with no expectation that anything physical follows. It's the equivalent of the kink scene's 'munch': a way to meet the community with your clothes on and your guard down.

Meet and greets exist precisely to lower the stakes. For couples or singles new to the LifeStyle, an M&G is the recommended on-ramp — you get to read the room, practise the social side, and find out whether you click with people before any question of play arises. Experienced members use them too, since chemistry and trust are built through conversation first.

The etiquette is ordinary social etiquette plus discretion: be friendly, don't pressure anyone, respect that some attendees are just there to socialise, and keep what you learn about who attends private. Many established connections in the LifeStyle trace back to an unremarkable conversation at a meet and greet.
